Renovation of Venice's Muscle Beach - Los Angeles Parks Foundation

Muscle Beach Venice, a unique landmark in one of LA’s most unique neighborhoods, is currently receiving a much-needed and long-awaited makeover coordinated by the Los Angeles Parks Foundation. The outdoor weightlifting platform has been frequented over the years by celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Trejo, and has come to symbolize the twentieth century’s physical fitness boom.

All new equipment to be installed includes:

Benches
Free Weights
Flooring
Protective barriers & railing
Doors
Fresh coat of paint
Miscellaneous hardware

Just steps from the Venice boardwalk, this iconic renovated gym space will once again be the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful beach vibes during an invigorating outdoor workout. Support for this $500,000 project has be provided through public funding, and is scheduled to be fully completed later this year.
